Tools
Roberto-Venn provides the students with the specialized tools required for
guitar building, as well as most supplies such as glue, sandpaper, and various
solvents. However, students are required to have a kit of personal tools and
supplies. A list of these tools is provided to students before the first day
of class. Many of the required tools are available for purchase from the school
at competitive prices, although students can buy them elsewhere or bring
tools they already have. Questions regarding the suitability of personal
tools can be answered by the R-V staff. The R-V School's current total cost for
the
tools we stock is about $450 plus tax**.
Instrument Materials
The cost of materials used for the two required student instruments can vary
widely depending on wood, hardware, and electronics choices. The cost for
the two required student instruments averages about $1425 plus tax**.
**
Tax (8.3%) will be added to all material purchases.
Note: Roberto-Venn does not accept credit cards
