Setup and Maintenance Workshop

Understanding the fundamental operation of the guitar or other stringed instruments allows the player to keep their instrument playing and sounding great for years to come. This also minimizes any problems before they can cause long term damage.

Musicians often experience changes to their guitar set-up caused by changing string gauges or different weather environments. Have you ever wanted to set up your guitar for slide playing or wondered how you can tweak your set up to fit your playing style? There are a multitude of things you can do which will influence the way it plays and sounds.

These workshops are divided into lectures, demonstrations, and hands-on workshop with John Reuter. We recommend you bring two guitars that could use some love as students will have the opportunity to properly set-up these instruments.
