While Roberto-Venn cannot guarantee placement for its graduates, we maintain contacts with almost every major guitar manufacturer and provide updated lists of companies that are recruiting our students and graduates.
A placement team consisting of Instructor Jim Prater, Assistant School Director Bart Applewhite, and Media Director John Lippi meet with students to help plan their career path after leaving Roberto-Venn. Many opportunities exist in today’s growing field of guitar making and repair, and students are encouraged to apply for employment according to their interests and areas where they wish to live.
Major manufacturers such as Paul Reed Smith, Santa Cruz, Collings, Taylor, Martin, Fender and Gibson have hired Roberto-Venn graduates, as well as countless small building operations and repair shops.
