Advanced Guitar Making

(10 Week Intensive Courses)

Advanced Guitar Making courses

These three individual 10 week courses will help to advance your building knowledge and woodworking skills. Courses are available to students that have graduated the 20 week guitar building program.

  • The Archtop guitar building course students will build a Benedetto or Gibson style archtop guitar.
  • The Resonator guitar building course students will build Dobro or National style resonator guitar.
  • The neck-through building course students will build a neck-through guitar or bass guitar.

ARCHTOP GUITAR MAKING

The ten weeks of the Archtop Guitar Making Course are devoted to learning the construction methods and techniques involved in building an Archtop Guitar. Students will build there own archtop guitar from the ground up.

RESONATOR GUITAR MAKING

The ten weeks of the Resonator Guitar Making Course are devoted to learning the construction methods and techniques involved in building a Resonator Guitar. Students will build there own resonator guitar from scratch.

NECK-THROUGH GUITAR MAKING

The ten weeks of the Neck-Through Guitar Making Course are devoted to learning the construction methods and techniques involved in building a Neck-Through Guitar. Students will build there own neck-through guitar or bass from the ground up.

*Guitar Making & Repair is pre-requisite for the Advanced Guitar Making Courses

The Advanced Guitar Making courses will be taught by Robert Mazzullo with assistance from John Reuter, William Eaton, Joe Vallee and special guest lecturers.

Roberto-Venn School of Luthiery has been helping to shape the Guitar-Making & Repair industry, and its many off-shoots, for over 40 years. We’re deeply ingrained in this industry.
