Gary graduated from Roberto-Venn in 1978. John Roberts and Bob Venn were Gary’s’ mentors. Yes, William Eaton was there too!

Hitting his feet running, Gary spent most of a decade as the Luthier repairman for one of the eras most prominent vintage guitar dealers. Greg Goldens’ Bizarre Guitar in Reno Nevada offered access to so many classic period instruments.

Gary opened his own shop, Branzell Guitars in late 1985. Branzell guitars uses tone woods, body styles, various voicing processes, scale lengths, voiced pickups, but more importantly, 45 years of experience to produce instruments that deliver a desired outcome.

Today amplifiers are part of Branzell Guitars. Based on classic circuits, they too are tweaked and voiced like his guitars
